With over 13 years experience working with couples, I bring a deep understanding of the complexities, challenges and beauty of intimate relationships. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity and evidence-based practices that support couples in navigating communication, connection and conflict with clarity and respect. I work in solution focused, client led, gestalt, cbt and strength-based therapies.
Alongside my work with couples, I’m currently completing a post grad cert in professional supervision. I’m passionate about supporting other practitioners through reflective, growth oriented supervision that fosters both personal and professional development. Whether you’re a therapist, pastor, Dr, social worker or someone working in a helping profession, I aim to create a space where you feel heard, supported and empowered.
Earlier in my career, I worked extensively with at-risk and special needs youth as well as in the not for profit sector. These experiences have shaped my inclusive, trauma informed perspective and continue to influence how I show up – with empathy, authenticity and a commitment to real human connection.
If you’re seeking support in your relationship or a safe, thoughtful space for supervision, I’d love to walk alongside you.
My husband and I went to see Kristel for a couple of months to help with our communication and connection. I really appreciated the gentle way she led us to be honest with each other and to ask clearly for what we needed within our relationship. Kristel had helpful little suggestions and tips that we still use or think about years later.
My husband and I went to see Kristel before we got married. She provided a safe space to talk through our concerns and hash out what could have been a deal breaker. She gave us hope that we could work through our issues and gave us practical tools to achieve it.
